Clinician Bio:
AARON JENSEN (he/him) is a Toronto-based composer, writer, and producer.His creative works have been performed and recorded by dozens of GRAMMY and JUNO award-winning artists including Larnell Lewis, Mariah Carey, and Dame Evelyn Glennie; by celebrated choirs, and by symphony orchestras around the world. Jensen acted as musical director, arranger, and band leader for the nine-time EMMY award-winning TV series, Schitt's Creek. Aaron has scored short films that have been featured at international film festivals and showcased on CBC Gem. His musical services have been enlisted by the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Kevin Hearn, and Barack and Michelle Obama. Jensen has twice been recognized by the International John Lennon Songwriting Competition, including a grand prize win for Best Jazz Composition. He has contributed to a BAFTA-nominated video game score, a New York Times Bestselling book, a platinum-selling album, and a Broadway-optioned musical. Jensen has toured widely across North and South America, Europe, and Asia as member of Countermeasure, Retrocity, The Watch, and Cadence. Aaron is the Artistic Director Emeritus of SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival. He is a graduate of York University, where he studied composition and creative writing.
